Around 40 Kashmiri girls were forced to spend whole night in open after authorities at Desh Bhagat College in northern state of Punjab kicked them out, a media report said today.
According to Punjab News Express, the college authorities ordered the hostel inmates to vacate at odd hours in the wake of strike by college students against filling of some seats from management quota.
According to the report, the Kashmiri girls accused the college authorities of forcing them out of the hostel with luggage.
"They said there was no arrangement of their security," the report added.
"The college authorities also threatened the girls to lodge a FIR against them and impose heavy fine if hostel is not vacated."
