Awami Ithehad Party(AIP) president and MLA Langate Er Rasheed on Sunday took a dig at Union foreign minister Sushma Swaraj for her recent speech at UN General Assembly.
In a statement, Rasheed said: "While Sushma Swaraj has every right to highlight India's achievements in various sectors, but before crying about being victim of terrorism she should have at least informed UN how many innocent Kashmiris were killed by forces from her last speech till this year's speech".
Rasheed said Swaraj should have told UN that how many "Kashmiris have been blinded with pellets, jailed, humiliated, killed and disappeared during last year by forces in Kashmir".
"She should have also talked about New Delhi's constant and continuous efforts of conspiracies," he said.
He said Swaraj should have informed UN that Kashmiris are suffering in the animosity between India and Pakistan.
"It is unfortunate that Kashmiris are simply becoming victims of animosity between India and Pakistan for none of their fault. J&K is not only a piece of land but people on both sides of LOC have been promised Right to Self Determination by the same UN," he said.
Meanwhile, Er Rasheed urged both the countries to resolve Kashmir dispute in case they want to prosper.
