Killing graph at peak in Kashmir: Geelani
Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani has paid glorious tributes to Saima Wani who succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS Soura after battling for life for 18 days.
Blaming forces for "continuous bloodshed", Geelani in a statement expressed his sympathy with Saima's family. "Atrocities perpetrated and killing graph has touched its highest limits. The forces are directly targeting civilians and unbridled state power is being enforced against innocents. State administration has unleashed violent measures against unarmed civilians. Even kids and innocent civilians are being killed by forces," he said.
Geelani expressed solidarity and sympathy with Saima's family saying "government forces have virtually waged war against civilians and are carrying massacre under well thought out plan."
Geelani urged the international human rights organizations, Asia watch, Amnesty International to take note of unabated killings by government forces. "Peaceful struggle for right to self-determination will continue until the people of Kashmir achieve its goal," he said.
