The government on Thursday informed the High Court that Koul Commission’s report on killings of 2010 unrest has been placed for consideration of the cabinet.
A division bench of Justice Muhammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey, however, sought status report in this regard by May 8.
The direction came after state’s senior additional Advocate General; B A Dar told the court that the matter has been placed before the cabinet for its consideration.
A social organization Jammu & Kashmir Peoples’ Forum through its general secretary M M Shuja has approached the court seeking directions for making public the findings of the Koul Commission in 2010 unrest, killings and monitoring of follow up action by the court after the report is made public.
