Srinagar Dec 6: The Crime Branch Kashmir on Monday arrested a man from Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam for selling fake and duplicate fungicides in the valley after remaining absconding for 11 years.
As per a CBK statement, the accused Mohd Yousf Bhat son of Sonaullah Bhat of Qazigund was among 11 persons involved in case FIR 21/1995 U/S 420,483 of P/S CBK for sale of fake and duplicate fungicides in valley.
The chargesheet in the instant case was filed in the Court of Law on July 30, 1998. However, Bhat, during the Court trial was absconding and was evading arrest since 2010, for which warrant U/S 512 Cr.PC was issued by the Court of City Judge Srinagar, the CBK statement said.
After his arrest, Bhat was produced before the Court of Law, which later on sent him to judicial custody.
