Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said that it arrested a couple for peddling drugs in Kulgam district.
A police spokesman in a statement said, ” During naka checking at Akhran Bridge Mirbazar, Qazigund police arrested a couple identified as Sabzar Ahmad Rather @Raja of Mallipora Devsar and his wife (name withheld) for peddling drugs. Police recovered 10 kilograms of poppy straw from their possession.”
Qazigund Police registered a case FIR NO 02/2019 under relevant section of law and initiated investigations in the matter.
