Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ganderbal held its 15th scientific advisory meeting committee under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazeer Ahmed on Tuesday.
Prof Nazeer lauded the efforts of the Kendra in coming tothe expectation of the farming community of the district Ganderbal. He stressedfor promotion of integrated farming system, high density apple plantation forhigher returns and quality produce and advised farmers gathering to takeadvantage of presence of scientists at the Kendra and seek their guidance forall issues concerning their farming be it agriculture, horticulture, animal orsheep husbandry, fisheries, forestry or sericulture.
Earlier Dr Javed Ahmad Bhat, head, KVK Ganderbal, gave a presentation of thevarious activities undertaken by the Kendra last year and also presented theproposed action plan for 20119-2020.
Prof Mushtaq Ahmad, Director Extension, SKUAST-K also spokeand advised various measures to be initiated afresh aimed for enhancing the farm income of thefarmers.
