Lashkar asks NC, PDP to snap ties with New Delhi

Chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba Mehmood Shah on Tuesday hailed people for boycotting the (first phase of ULB) elections.

“The elections were nothing other than a drama staged by New Delhi.

The lowest ever turnout in elections has proved to the world that the people of Jammu-Kashmir are on one page,” LeT spokesman, Dr Abdullah Ghaznawi quoted Mehmood Shah as having said in a statement to a local news agency KNS.

“Hurriyat leadership, the militants and the public, all are on one page. Forces have completely failed to suppress the Kashmir movement. PDP and National Conference, which were pro-India, have also rejected to be part of the election. They should stop being friends with New Delhi and start thinking about the people, instead of personal gains,” Shah said.
