A seven-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Gujjarpati locality of Drang in Khag area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district last evening.
Locals said that the leopard entered into the house of Muhammad Shafi Katari and dragged away his youngest son Parvaiz Ahmad – a student of first grade – out of the house.
They said that the locals chased the leopard after the family raised an alarm.
“The boy was rescued in a nearly-dead condition,” said a villager. “We rushed him to Primary Health Centre Khag where doctors declared him brought dead.”
