Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) has disassociates with the posters displayed in Shopian.
“LeT has nothing to do with the posters displayed in Shopian. Indian agencies do such things to defame us. But they will never achieve anything out of these tactics. It is an obligation to preach the community, but to impose Islam forcefully by individuals or by organizations, is not at all allowed in Islam. It is the Ulema who preach the people and tell them what is right and what is wrong,” LeT spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Ghazanwi said in an emailed statement.
