LG Sinha, Advisors, CS greet people on Janamashtami

Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has extended his warm greetings to the people of the Union Territory of J&K on the auspicious occasion of Janamashtami.

In his message of greetings, the Lt Governor observed that Lord Krishna was an epitome of virtues like “selflessness, truth and justice” and this festival is the celebration of life and teachings of Lord Krishna enshrined in Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, which inculcates in us the spirit of selfless service and righteousness towards building a harmonious society.

   

The Lt Governor hoped that this auspicious occasion would further strengthen the social harmony and amity in J&K.

He urged the people to celebrate the festival in adherence to all the SOP’s and guidelines issued by the Administration.

He prayed for the peace and prosperity in the UT and extended his best wishes for the well-being of the people of J&K.

Meanwhile, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar has also extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on eve of Janmashtami.

While extending his greetings, Advisor Bhatnagar said that Lord Krishna’s message of standing up for righteousness against evil, working for universal well-being and focusing on responsibilities rather than rewards is inspiring for all.

The Advisor added that on this occasion we should commit ourselves to following the path of virtue shown by Lord Krishna and strengthen our society and nation by contributing to the well-being of our people and society in large.

Advisor Bhatnagar  appealed  the people to follow necessary guidelines put in view of the global pandemic of the COVID 19 while celebrating the occasion and advised them to strictly follow the concept of Social distancing.

The Advisor also prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Advisor to LG, Farooq Khan has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on eve of Janmashtami.

In his message the Advisor maintained that the life and teachings of Lord Krishna have a universal message as they signify the triumph of virtue over vice and righteousness over evil.

The Advisor also prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Advisor to LG, Baseer Ahmad Khan also extended his warm Janmashtami greetings to the people.

Extending his greetings, the Advisor said that the festival celebrates the life and eternal teachings of Lord Krishna like discipline, knowledge, and selfless action.

Advisor Baseer Khan added that on this occasion, we should rededicate ourselves to the teachings of Lord Krishna and work for the creation of a peaceful, harmonious and enlightened society.

He advised people to celebrate this festival in adherence to all the SOPs and guidelines issued by the Administration.

Chief Secretary (CS), B V R Subrahmanyam, in greeting message on the eve of Janamashtami, said that Lord Krishna’s teachings of harmony and righteousness have guided our nation towards peaceful co-existence, adding that the festival celebrates the spirit of selfless service.

He also urged people to take precautions, maintain social distance and follow safety protocols during festivities and celebrations in these difficult times of COVID-19 pandemic.
