Life returns to normal in Tral after 4-day shutdown

After four days of consecutive strike and restrictions, normalcy returned to Tral township of Pulwama district on Monday. 

Shops and business establishments opened and both private and public transport plied normally.

   

Three Hizbul Mujahideen militants namely Shakoor Ahmad Parray of Laribal Tral, Zubair Ahmad and Tauseef Ahmad of Chersoo Awantipora, were killed in a gunfight with government forces on Thursday.

On Saturday, another encounter raged in Aripal area of Tral amid snowfall, which continued for full day and ended without any success for forces. A two-storey residential house was completely destroyed during the gunfight while a paramilitary CRPF trooper was injured. GKNN
