Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on the second day of his visit to Kashmir, accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, visited units in central Kashmir. He was briefed by the commanders on the ground situation, an Army spokesman said in a statement. He said that Lt Gen Singh appreciated the measures and standard operating procedures instituted by the units to minimise civilian causalities. He also emphasised on meeting the security challenges more effectively.
