One of the two militants killed in a gunfight with the government forces on Saturday in Imam Sahib area of Shopian is reportedly an M.Tech student from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The slain student-turned-militant was identified as RahilRashid Sheikh of Nunner area of Ganderbal, news agency GNS reported.
The report said that Rahil had joined the militant ranks onApril 3.
GNS identified the other militant as Bilal Ahmad resident ofKeegam, Shopian.
Both the slain militants were affiliated with Hizb outfit,the report said.
