A man made an unsuccessful bid on his life inside the courtroom of Principal District and Sessions Judge in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday afternoon by lacerating his left arm.
An official said that the man identified as Mushtaq AhmadReshi of Nesbal Sumbal cut his left arm in an open courtroom while theproceedings of a case were going on in the court of Principal District andSessions Judge Bandipora.
He said that Reshi was shifted to Bandipora hospital fortreatment from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura in a critical condition.
He said that police has taken cognizance of the case and FIRNo. 45/2019 under section 309 RPC has been registered in police stationBandipora. “Further investigation has been taken up,” he said.
