Baramulla, Feb 10: A man was critically injured after he was assaulted by his brother over a land dispute in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
The injured person was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Pattan. He was later shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for specialised treatment.
The injured person has been identified as Muzaffar Hussain Dar, 30, while the assailant has been identified as Sameer Hussain Dar, 19.
An official said that the incident happened in the Hanjiveera village, While sharing details of the incident, he said the incident happened after two brothers fought over the land they have inherited.
He said during the scuffle between the two, Sameer attacked his elder brother with an axe leaving him critically injured.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and have registered a case in connection with the incident at police station Pattan. The assailant has been arrested.
