Incarcerated senior leader and chairman Muslim League (ML) Jammu and Kashmir Masarat Aalam Bhat was produced before the court here on Tuesday for trial and shifted back to Kot Balwal Jail, Jammu.
“Masarat Aalam was brought here for hearing of a case registered against him in 2015. He was produced in the court of Additional District and Session Judge where after hearing the arguments the judge fixed October 30, 2018 as the next date of hearing. After hearing, the Masrat was taken back to Kotbalwal Jail, Jammu,” the ML spokesman Sajad Ayobi said in a statement.
“The Government of India and the state government have set new policies and methods for continued imprisonment of Masarat Aalam,” Ayobi said.
