Police on Saturday night arrested the brother of active Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind militant from Pampore area of Pulwama district.
Following specific inputs, army’s 50 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir police during a search operation raided some houses and recovered some explosive material from the house of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind militant Shabir Ahmad Dar alias Shabir Mali in Samboora area of Pampore.
The search team also recovered safety fuse, detonator and wires from Dar’s house. “Dar’s brother Irfan Ahmad was later taken into custody. The investigations are going on,” said Mohammad Zahid Malik, superintendent of police Awantipora.
