Srinagar, July 9: Militants on Friday managed to escape after a gunfight with a joint team of police, army and CRPF in Redwani area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.

“It seems that the militant escaped in the initial phase of the operation,” news agency GNS quoted SSP Kulgam Gurinderpal Singh as saying.

Earlier, police in a tweet had said that encounter started between militants and a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF in Redwani.
