A minor girl was seriously injured after being hit by an Army vehicle at Bumhama village along the Kupwara-Sopore highway in north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.
An official said that the incident took place when an Army vehicle hit an eight-year-old girl Muddabirah Ismail, daughter of Muhammad Ismail Dar of Bumhama, Kupwara.
“Soon after the incident took place, the injured girl was rushed to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara where from she has been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment,” the official said.
Police has arrested the driver and registered a case in this regard.
