Mirwaiz reaches Delhi, urges people to stay calm

Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday reached National Investigation Agency (NIA) headquarters in New Delhi for questioning in an alleged funding case.

Mirwaiz, from Delhi, appealed to all the people back home tostay calm and assured that the Hurriyat leadership will continue to seekpolitical resolution of the Kashmir issue.

   

“In Delhi today with my colleagues for the NIA summon,efforts to malign leadership for its political stand wont work. Inspite ofharassment #Hurriyat will continue to seek peaceful resolution of the #Kashmirissue,urge people back home to stay calm and peaceful (sic),” Mirwaiz said in atweet.

Mirwaiz reached New Delhi today morning after NIA had servedhim three summons.

All Parties Hurriyat (M) Conference (APHC) executive membersare accompanying Mirwaiz to Delhi.

Mirwaiz had earlier cited security reasons for inability totravel to Delhi and asked the NIA to question him in Srinagar.
