Police on Monday released Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from house detention after three weeks.
Out from his house arrest, Mirwaiz went to the houses of slain civilian Rayees Ahmed and two militants killed during Fateh Kadal gunfight on October 17.
Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz said he visited the families of slain civilian Rayees Ahmed Sofi and slain militants Mehraj ud Din Bangroo and Faid Mushtaq.
Mirwaiz said the commitment and determination of the families gave him more strength. He also said that the ‘blood of martyrs will not go in vain.’
