“Remembering with pain another massacre executed in January by the Indian forces on 25th January 1990 when more than 10,000 people were heading towards Handwara chowk to protest the Gaw Kadal massacre. Bullets were showered upon them, 21 civilians were killed in cold blood!”, Mirwaiz wrote on twitter.

In another tweet, Mirwaiz remembered the victims of Wandhama massacre and said that “Kashmir is witnessing massacres since last 30 years, while no one is held accountable.”

In his tweet, Mirwaiz said : “While the wounds of this day were still fresh another massacre happened on this day 8 years later when 23 Kashmiri pandits in Wandhama were gunned down by unknown assailants. Like all massacres that Kashmir is witnessing since last 30 years, no one was held accountable and punished,” Mirwaiz said in an other tweet.
