Mirwaiz writes to Ban-ki-Moon, OIC

Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Moulvi Umar Farooq in his letters to the United Nations Organisation (UNO) Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Secretary General Iyad Madani, UN Security Council’s P5 (five permanent members – China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) while bringing their attention toward the deteriorating situation in Jammu Kashmir and abject violations of human rights has said Government of India and the state government have announced a formal war on the people of Kashmir and killed 32 unarmed and innocent persons during the past three days while injuring over 1500, many of them critically making them maimed and handicapped.

In his letters, the Mirwaiz wrote that people of entire Kashmir, while curfew and undeclared curfew had been imposed, were being subjected to inhumane of brutalities.

Appealing the UN, OIC, emancipated people and nations, and international community to pressurise Government of India to stop its naked aggression on people of Kashmir, the Mirwaiz wrote that they should also pressurize New Delhi to initiate a dialogue with Islamabad and the real Kashmiri leadership and play a role in the resolution of Kashmir issue keeping the wishes and aspirations of people of Jammu Kashmir in mind.
