A musk deer was captured by locals in Watlar area in Ganderbal district early Thursday morning.
Eyewitnesses told Greater Kashmir that the musk deer was spotted in the area by some locals who managed to captured it.
Locals said that later they informed the wildlife officials and the animal was handed over to them.
Forester wildlife department Ganderbal, Abdul Rasheed, told Greater Kashmir that they recovered the musk deer from the locals.
He further said that the musk deer was shifted to Dachigam National Park.
