Srinagar, Mar 27: A mysterious explosion was heard outside an army camp at Zachaldara area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.
Quoting a police officer, news agency GNS reported that preliminary reports suggest that an old shell might have exploded in the area.
There were no injuries reported in the blast, the police officer said adding detailed investigations have been launched.
The area has been cordoned to ascertain the cause of the explosion he added.
