Sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a naib tehsildar in north Kashmir’s Sopore area while accepting Rs 12000/ as bribe, a statement issued by the ACB said/
It said that a written complaint was lodged at PoliceStation Anti-Corruption Bureau (North Kashmir), it was alleged that naibtehsildar is demanding bribe for recording the mutation of the land in therevenue records. “On this complaint, a case FIR No. 01/2019 under section 5(2)J&K P.C Act Svt; 2006, 4-A Amendment Act- 2014 was registered andinvestigations were taken up,” the statement said. It said, ” During the course of investigation, asuccessful trap team was constituted under the supervision of Rafiq Ahmad,DySP, who along with the sleuths of this office laid a successful trap. Thesaid NT was caught red handed in his office while demanding and accepting thebribe of Rs. 12000/- from the complainant.”
