Senior Hurriyat leaders, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, president Muslim Democratic League and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, chairman Islamic Political Party, visited residence of slain Talib Ahmad Shah at Kakapora, Pulwama to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
The leaders on the occasion stated that "involvement of highly educated youth in revolutionary movement bears testimony to the fact that after being fed up with Indian illegal occupation and unabated suppression, youth in Kashmir are joining the freedom struggle against India and they cannot be lured by material interests anymore." "Indian brutalities against the freedom-loving majority community in Jammu Kashmir should serve as eye-opener for global human rights organizations. These oppressive tactics of India won't succeed in curbing or crushing the ongoing freedom struggle which will continue till freedom from India," the leaders said.
Meanwhile, Hakeem and Naqash paid tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his anniversary, stating that "his revolutionary and political contributions can never be forgotten and his sacrifice calls us to take his mission forward."
