Narrow escape for 5 students as car overturns in Ganderbal

At least five students of a private educational institute had a miraculous escape on Thursday morning after a private car they were travelling in met with an accident near Haripora area on Srinagar-Leh highway in Ganderbal district. 

Sources said a private car carrying five students of high school Watlar met with an accident near Haripora after the driver of the car lost control over it and the car was overturned.

   

However, all the five students including the driver who is said to be teacher of the same school escaped miraculously and received minor injuries. 

“There were five students in the car which met with the accident. All of them had a miraculous escape. However, they sustained minor injuries” a parent told Greater Kashmir. 

He urged the school authorities to be careful and ensure safety of the students.

Principal of the school, Ghulam Qadir told Greater Kashmir that the driver of the school bus was unwell and at the eleventh hour “we had to arrange and send a private car to get the students to the school as they had to appear in exams”. 

He said in the accident just few students received minor injuries and after medical aid they were sent home.

Meanwhile, a police official said they have registered a case in this regard.
