Hurriyat Conference (G) senior leader and National Front (NF) chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan today paid rich tributes to prominent Islamic scholar, cleric and Imam-e-Jamia Markazi Hanifia Khag, Mirwaiz Moulana Syed Tahir Rizvi, who recently left for heavenly abode.
Nayeem Khan visited Khag today to express his solidarity with the kith and kin of the deceased. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
He said the death of such a great Aalim-e-Deen is an irrecoverable loss to the Muslim Ummah, particularly the Muslims of Kashmir. Khan said Moulana Syed Tahir Rizvi was a great Islamic preacher who always emphasised on the unity and brotherhood of Muslim Ummah. "He was a great symbol of sacrifices, who, as an Islamic scholar, always stood in support of ongoing freedom struggle," Nayeem Khan, in a statement today, said.
