Nayeem Khan pays tributes to Shams-ul-Haq, Sofi Akbar

Senior Hurriyat Conference (G) leader and National Front chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan today paid rich tributes to Hizb –ul- Mujahideen commander Shams-ul-Haq on his 23rd death anniversary.

Senior Hurriyat Conference (G) leader and National Front chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan today paid rich tributes to Hizb –ul- Mujahideen commander Shams-ul-Haq on his 23rd death anniversary. 

"Haq, along with his two other companions Qayoom Sheikh and Syed Aashiq, achieved martyrdom on December 16, 1993," Nayeem Khan, in a statement today, said, adding that "Ghulam Muhammad Mir alias Shams-ul-Haq, besides a militant commander, was a renowned scholar, philosopher, thinker and a politician, who laid his life for the better future of his nation. As an intellectual, he had reached the conclusion that there is no other option but to stand against the armed control of India."  

Meanwhile, Khan also paid rich tributes to Mahaz-i-Azadi founder Sofi Muhammad Akbar on his 29th death anniversary.
