Nazir Malik vows to fight for rights of Gujjar community

National Conference leader and party’s north zone secretary advocate Nazir Ahmad Malik on Saturday alleged that representatives of Bandipora have plundered the constituency.

While addressing a gathering of Gujjar community at Sumlar here Malik said, “The Gujjar community of Bandipora has been neglected by everyone. Neither there are proper roads nor any basic health care facilities.”

   

He said, “The electricity supply exists only on papers at Sumlar and Gujarpati. Funds allocated by the central and state government were looted by the so-called representatives of the Bandipora district.” Advocate Malik vowed that once voted to power the National Conference would change the face of entire Kashmir and also uplift the neglected areas like Bandipora. He vowed to fight for the rights of the Gujjar community members.

Meanwhile, scores of PDP and Congress workers joined the National Conference on the occasion, a NC spokesman said.
