Various mainstream parties on Friday condemned the killing of three policemen in south Kashmir.

In their statement, both NC leaders in their statement expressed their solidarity with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, senior NC leaders including Ali Muhammad Sagar and Nasir Aslam Wani have also expressed their grief over the killing of policemen.
CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam MY Tarigami also condemned the killings.
In his statement, Tarigami said, "the abduction and subsequent killing of three policemen in Batagund and Kapren villages of Shopian is unfortunate and tragic".
Tarigami also said: "whose cause is being served by such killings? Whether a person is killed by the bullet from one side or the other side, it is a Kashmiri who is losing a life. For how long such killings will continue?" He expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.
In a statement, Congress spokesperson said, "the killings are highly unfortunate and shocking". "Killing of policemen as well as civilians have vitiated the atmosphere in the valley to a largest extent," the statement said.
"Wrong policies adopted by BJP government will continue to remain the source behind worsening situation in the valley," he added.
