NC decries poor state of affairs in J&K

Youth wing of National Conference on Sunday said the party was only formation in J&K with representative character at grassroots level.

A meet of party’s block Presidents, YNC functionaries andworkers, convened by YNC Vice President, Ahsan Pardesi, was presided over bydistrict President, Peer Afaq Ahmad, at Sonwar here.

   

Ahmad expressed dismay over poor state of affairs inJ&K, “There is no accountability on the ground. Post August 5 every singlesector be it economy, administration, and tourism is in shambles,” he said.”The people especially poor sections of the society are at the receiving end.The administrative inertia has beset every sphere of J&K.”

Ahsan said it was alarming to see a veteran and tallestpolitical personality like Farooq Abdullah not being allowed to represent hispeople in Lok Sabha.

“Continuous incarceration of J&K’s legitimate andrepresentative voices is politically motivated,” he said. He said that therecan be no substitute to National Conference which has a long history inJ&K.

The duo sought immediate release of all incarcerated leadersand political activists. Among others who were present on the occasion includedKhalid Rathore, Dr Syed, Kaiser Ganai, Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Bhat, Basher AhmadGanai, Haji Abdul Majeeed Bhat and Asiya ji.
