NC remembers Begum Akbar Jehan Abdullah on death anniversary

Srinagar, July 11: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah led the party functionaries in offering floral tributes and fatiha at the Mazar-e-Anwar of Madre Maharban Begum Akbar Jehan Abdullah on her 23rd death anniversary, a press release said.

General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, senior leaders Abdul Rahim Rather, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzaan, Mubarak Gul, Sakina Itoo, Shameema Firdous, Nazir Gurezi, Political Advisor to President Mushtaq Guroo, and others also paid tributes. On the occasion a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by Provincial President (Kashmir) Youth National Conference Salman Ali Sagar.

   

NC Vice President Omar Abdullah visited the blood donation camp and joined other volunteers in donating the blood. On the occasion, the Vice President congratulated the YNC team for the successful conduct of the camp. A total of one hundred one pints of blood was collected on the occasion. The blood donation committee was headed by Senior youth leader Abid Wani.

Similar commemorative functions, marked by blood donation camps and prayer meetings were held at all district headquarters across Kashmir, where party’s local leaders recalled the enduring legacy of Begum Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and offered floral tributes and Fatiha.

Among others those who donated the blood on the occasion include Party Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, district president Shopian Showkat Hussain Ganaie and scores of YNC functionaries and workers.

Among others Muhammad Syed Akhoon, Javed Dar, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, Showkat Ahmed Mir, Ahsan Pardesi, Peer Afaq Ahmed, Sajad Shafi Uri, Sheikh Muhammad Rafi, Altaf Ahmed Wani, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, GR Naaz, Irshad Kar, Masarat Kar, JS Azad, Neelofar Masood, Muhammad Syed Maqdoomi also offered Fatiha on the occasion.
