‘Need more Urdu, Arabic, Persian centres in Kashmir’

Vice- Chancellor Central University of Kashmir, Prof Mehraj-ud-din Sunday said that National Council for Promotion of Urdu language should open more Urdu, Arabic and Persian centres in Kashmir.

Speaking during the function organized by NCPUL, Prof Mehrajsaid CUK is ready to provide and extend every sort of cooperation with theCouncil.

   

He added that a committee should be set up to makeassessments of the existing centres of Council operating in Kashmir. “Thecommittee will help to assess performance of centres and will recommendmeasures to remove weakness, if any, ” he said.

He added the Council centres should be established incolleges and schools as that would be more beneficial to the students.

Vice- Chancellor University of Kashmir, Prof Talat Ahmadsaid that Urdu language should be given its deserving position and for thatpeople have to come forward to take benefits of the various schemes of thecouncil.
