Hurriyat Conference (G) has condemned the killing of 70-year elderly man Ghulam Muhammad Khan of Ilahi Bagh Soura here, saying "New Delhi tries to suppress us with their military might to strengthen its undemocratic, illegal and forcible control."
"Martyr Ghulam Muhammad was not part of any protest and he was in the lawn of his house but Indian forces still chose him for quenching their blood thirst. Their horrifying acts of repression and merciless killing of our people irrespective of age, on daily basis, have mutilated their so-called democratic face," a spokesman of the Hurriyat, in a statement today, said.
"The death toll in the present turmoil rose to 98 and harassing and repression of entire population has turned this valley into a big slaughter house," the spokesman said, reiterating its stand that "our innocent and unarmed people will leave no stone unturned to get rid of this armed control".
Hurriyat appealed to the world human rights organization to take these innocent killings seriously and use their good offices to stop this 'unending bloodshed'.
