New Delhi won’t achieve anything by banning JeI, mass arrests: Sajad Lone

Peoples Conference (PC) chairman and former minister Sajad Lone on Friday said New Delhi will achieve nothing by banning Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) and arresting political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir.

While asking that New Delhi should introspect, Lone saidthat JeI despite being banned in the past and its leaders put behind barsconstructed more than 600-700 schools where thousands of students are receivingeducation.

   

Hitting out at the National Conference and the PeoplesDemocratic Party, Lone said New Delhi should rethink what it achieved byspending crores of rupees on these ‘dynastic parties’.

“Let New Delhi take a pause and think what they achieved bypampering NC and PDP. Unlike JeI, these dynastic parties could not establisheven a single educational institution,” he said while talking to reporters inBaramulla where he was accompanying his party candidate Raja Ajaz Ali who filedhis nomination for the Lok Sabha seat.
