Senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has castigated health authorities for mishandling issues related to Sub District Hospital Bandipore which according to him is in mess.
In a statement, Bhat said that authorities have over the time slept over complaints of maladministration and cheap politicking. “They also chose to protect the spoilers and allowed the hospital to degenerate despite availability of better manpower and funds.”
He said there seems a design to deprive the place the right to grow and give better health care to people dependent on this hospital and its sub-units.
Bhat said it is unfortunate that technical and administrative staff has to come on roads for their remunerations and salaries. “Unlike in other health centres of the state this humiliation is spared for innocent workers functioning in the hospital.”
“District Hospital building is still under construction and sub-units at Ashtangoo, Pethkoot, Ajas, Aragam and Chuntimula lack basic amenities . CMO’s office is under vigilance net and BMO’s are changed with impunity to accommodate a class in spells,” he said.
He demanded that Hospital administration be set right along with its administrative components at Tehsil and District level and employees be respected for their dues without compromising on basis ethics, public interest and standards of health care.
