Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and MLA Beerwah Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said no place was safe any longer in Kashmir.
Retweeting the Greater Kashmir story on a rifle snatching incident at the Kashmir University’s Rumi Gate, Omar wrote: “They are even snatching rifles outside Kashmir University now. It doesn’t look like any place in Kashmir is safe any longer.”

Unknown persons snatched a rifle from a policeman at one of a busy gates of the varsity located at Hazratbal in capital Srinagar.
Reports said that some unknown persons overpowered a policeman posted at the Rumi Gate of the varsity and fled with his rifle.
