National Conference Working President and MLA Beerwah Omar Abdullah on Saturday that "the extent of failures of the PDP-BJP Government was shocking as there is absolutely no sign of basic governance in the State".

As per a party spokesman, Omar continued with his review and inspection of the functioning of Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and other hospitals in Beerwah constituency for the second day today and further released an additional amount of 15.5 lakhs for immediate equipment, medicine and repair needs of health department installations in Beerwah.

"During the tenure of the previous Government, the health sector was treated as a priority. However, sadly, the new government has failed to even restock and replenish vital supplies and equipment in our hospitals and health centers after the devastation caused by the floods in September", Omar said while reviewing the functioning of hospitals. "Nothing could be more tragic. Healthcare is a right of the people and it seems the present Government wants to deprive people of this right".

The NC Working President said: "The people are suffering which is heart rending. Doctors don't even have stethoscopes and delivery sets while the Chief Minister is basking in the glory of photo-shoots. As much as Mufti Sahab is the master of marketing and propaganda, the complete collapse of the State Government cannot be concealed by his rhetoric anymore".
