Northern Commander Lt Gen Dwivedi visits JAKRIF units on LoC

Jammu: General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi on Thursday visited Jammu and Kashmir Rifles (JAKRIF) units deployed along the Line of Control.  Lt Gen Dwivedi, who is Colonel of Jammu & Kashmir Rifles and Ladakh Scouts Regiments, extended greetings to troops and veterans on the occasion of Baisakhi and Gen Zorawar Day.

“Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi Army Cdr NC and Colonel of Jammu & Kashmir Rifles & Ladakh Scouts Regiments visited JAKRIF units deployed along the LC. He extended his compliments and greetings to the troops & Veterans present, on the occasion of Baisakhi & Gen Zorawar Day,” read a tweet on the official twitter handle of Northern Command.

During the day, in a separate engagement, Lt Gen Dwivedi also met and interacted with Chief Administrative Officer Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project S P Mahi at Udhampur.

“Reflecting on infra projects in Jammu and Kashmir, they exchanged views to maximise development through civil-military synergy,” another tweet on the official Twitter handle of Northern Command read.
