Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday expressed happiness that the Prime Minister Modi has continued "where he left off after meeting opposition parties in Delhi last Monday."

He was reacting to Modi's remarks on Kashmir in Mann Ki Baat radio programme.

"Any life lost in Kashmir, whether of any youth or any security personnel, is our own loss," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Modi's remark that those pushing youth towards stone-pelting will have to answer, Omar said: "Unfortunately sir a lot of these youngsters have been pushed there by our collective mistakes & mishandling of J&K."
