One dead, six injured in truck-load carrier collision in north Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar, Nov 1: A load carrier driver was killed and six labourers sustained injuries, three of them critically, after the vehicle collided with an long platform truck at Tee Pee in north Kashmir’s Kupwara on Monday evening, official sources said.

Quoting the sources, news agency GNS reported that the load carrier bearing registration number JK01T 6251 ferrying labourers, collided with the LP truck resulting in on spot death of load carrier driver Farooq Ahmad Khan, 26 from Marsari and injuries to six other on board labourers.

   

The injured labourers have been identified as Zakir Hussain Bahwar son of Abdul Qayoom, Zubair Ahmad Bahwar son of Ghulam Qadir Bahwar, Bashir Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Nabi Lone, Mohammad Amin Lone son of Feroz-ud-Din Lone, Javid Ahmad Bahwar son of Ghulam Rasool Bahwar and Irshad Ahmad Bahwar son of Mohammad Shafi Bahwar, they told GNS that all of them were evacuated to SDH Kralpora from where three persons with critical injuries were referred to DH Handwara for preferential treatment.

Pertinent to mention here that earlier in the day a private vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Kralpora area of the north Kashmir district resulting in the death of a 32-year-old person alongside injuries to three other persons.
