Authorities on Wednesday informed that subject to fair weather and better road conditions Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) shall be allowed towards Kashmir from Jammu on Srinagar-Jammu highway tomorrow even as they asked commuters to confirm the status of the road before undertaking the journey.
Traffic police in a communique asked Traffic Control Unit (TCU) of Jammu to liaise with its counterpart in Ramban before releasing the vehicles from Nagrota (Jammu) in the time slot of 0700 to 1200 hours and from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0800 to 1300 hours.
As for the Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) it said that they shall be allowed from Jakheni towards Srinagar from 1400 to 2400 hours.
It further said that no vehicle shall be allowed before and after the cut-off timing.
