Ummat e Islami (UeI) Jammu Kashmir on Monday alleged that police has served notice to its leader Moulana Sajad Hashmi saying his property will be sealed within next two days. "The notice was served by Kakapora police station in Pulwama district as Moulana Hashmi was very active in Pulwama and Shopian, working for the party. He organized and addressed large number of rallies during the last three months of the civilian uprising," the UeI spokesperson said in a statement.

The spokesman quoting Mirwaiz Yasir condemned the police action, saying that "the continuous arrest and harassment of leaders is proof of animosity by administration towards the Ummat e Islami."

"Our several leaders and members including a popular leader Moulana Sarjan Barkati was also arrested on Saturday and booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA)," the statement said.
