Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) vice chairman Bashir Ahmad Butt today said "New Delhi can never defeat the will of Kashmiri people by turning Kashmir into a concentration camp."
Condemning the ongoing killing spree in Kashmir, Butt, in a statement today, said, "the brutal killing of yet another Kashmiri son Wasin Ahmad Lone of Nadihal and injuring hundreds is again exposing the cruel face of New Delhi in Jammu Kashmir. This is again proving the ugliness of Indian Hitlerism in Kashmir that is being practiced here under the garb of so-called democracy."
Terming the "cruel behaviour" against JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik in jail, Butt, "he was arrested by police on July 8, and since then he is being constantly shifted from one detention center to another."
"Five days ago, Yasin Sahib was shifted to Humhama JIC from Humhama police station and was put into a lonely cell where no one other than rats and mosquitoes are present. He was recently taken to a private hospital for medical checkups and treatment where his medical tests regarding his heart ailment came dangerously disturbing. Instead of providing him any kind of proper medical facility, callous authorities shifted him back to the dilapidated cell and put him back in solitary confinement," he alleged.
"Shabby conditions in which Yasin Sahib has been put has threatened his life and besides other ailments he has developed a severe pain in his leg and state of affairs is such that proper bedding for him was not provided by the authorities and same had to be sent from his home. Tortures, ill-treatments, Jails and detention centers are not new for JKLF and its Muhammad Yasin Malik but the present oppression against him is exposing the ill-mindedness and unethical attitude of so-called rulers," Butt said.
