Out of 182, polling in only 15 wards of Bandipora block

Out of 182 panch wards in main Bandipora panchayat block, polling is going to be held in just 15 wards on Tuesday during the fourth phase of ongoing panchayat polls across the state.

Main Bandipora panchayat block has a total number of 26 sarpanch Halqas, having 182 panch wards. The total number of registered voters in 26 Halqas is 30,601 including 16099 male and 14502 female voters.

   

According to details available with Greater Kashmir, out of 26 Halqas, 12 Sarpanchs have been elected unopposed while 6 Halqas have remained vacant and elections are going to be held in 8 Halqas.

A total number of 21 candidates are in the fray for 8 Sarpanch posts in the block. 6 Halqas have remained vacant as no candidate has filed the nomination forms from the respective Halqas.

Out of 182 Panch wards, 61 panchs have been elected unopposed while 106 have remained vacant as no candidate turned up to file nomination papers.

Polling is going to be held in just 15 Panch wards for which 31 candidates are in the fray.

Elections are going to be held in 8 Halqas, having a total number of 9545 electorates including 5036 male and 4509 female voters.
