Hurriyat (M) spokesman Shahid-ul-Islam, who was granted custody parole by an NIA court earlier this week, met his family in Srinagar on Thursday.
Shahid-ul-Islam was detained at police station Rajbagh for the night and was allowed to meet his family today morning, said a source.
According to the terms of the parole, Shahid-ul-Islam will be taken to Police Station Rajbagh again in the evening.
Arrested in an alleged militant funding case, Shahid-ul-Islam has been undergoing detention at Tihar jail in Delhi for past more than a year.
An NIA court on Monday granted him week-long custody parole after his wife suffered a stroke.
Nuzhat Shah, wife of the jailed Hurriyat spokesman, had survived a heart stroke on January 12 this year following which she was rushed to a hospital.
The ailing wife of Shahid-ul-Islam and his two daughters had been demanding his release on humanitarian grounds.
