Over 100 civilians injured in Kareemabad clashes; 17 referred to Srinagar

Scores of people were injured in clashes that erupted in Karimabad village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Sunday.

Over 110 people were injured in clashes that erupted in Karimabad village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Sunday.

17 among the injured have been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment, sources said.

Witnesses and reports said that at least 110 people were injured in the clashes which were triggered by forces' raids in the village early Sunday.

They said that people took to streets against alleged excesses of forces and arrests of some youths during the raid.

However, forces deployed in the strength allegedly fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse them, triggering clashes.
